STaK-Chex Plus Retics is a whole blood five-part differential hematology control that monitors all parameters including reticulocytes and nucleated red blood cells. This control contains automated and manual reticulocyte values in three clinically significant levels (low, normal and high) and nucleated red blood cells in one level, allowing for the precision and accuracy of the instrument’s laser to be evaluated each time STaK-Chex Plus Retics is used.
STaK-Chex Plus Retics features vials with pierceable caps for autosampling and has a long shelf life which reduces the number of shipments, associated costs and time spent performing lot-to-lot correlation. Each label is barcoded to assist with quality control data collection, eliminating the possibility of transcription errors.
STaK-Chex Plus Retics is compatible with the Beckman Coulter® UniCel® DxH® 600/800/900/690T hematology analyzers.

Nucleated red blood cells (NRBCs) are immature RBCs that normally are not present in peripheral blood but can appear in certain conditions such as severe anemia, bone marrow disorders or hypoxia. Their presence can interfere with automated WBC counts if not properly identified and corrected. STaK-Chex Plus Retics includes NRBCs to verify that the analyzer can accurately detect and account for these cells.
STaK-Chex Plus Retics is available in three clinically significant levels: low, normal and high for most parameters including reticulocytes. Nucleated red blood cells are provided in one level.
