ARM-D® Kit, ampC

The Streck ARM-D kit, ampC is a multiplex real-time PCR kit for the rapid detection of AmpC β-lactamase resistance genes in Gram-negative bacteria. This comprehensive kit allows you to detect over 200 ampC allelic variants in the clinically relevant resistance gene families, CMY02, DHA, ACC, EBC, FOX and MOX, and differentiate between plasmid-mediated and chromosomal AmpC β-lactamase resistance.

Every kit includes positive controls for each gene target to monitor analytical process as well as an endogenous internal control (16SrRNA gene) to reduce false negatives due to PCR inhibition, DNA degradation or poor extraction.

All Streck ARM-D kits are compatible with most 4-channel real-time thermal cyclers. An amplification protocol and analysis guide are available for the following instruments: Applied Biosystems™ 7500 Fast and 7500 Fast Dx, QuantStudio™ 7Flex, Bio-Rad CFX96 Touch™ and QIAGEN Rotor-Gene® Q.

For Research Use Only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures.

The ARM-D Kit, ampC is a multiplex real-time PCR kit for the rapid detection of AmpC β-lactamase resistance genes in gram-negative bacteria. This comprehensive kit detects over 200 ampC allelic variants in the clinically relevant resistance gene families CMY02, DHA, ACC, EBC, FOX and MOX and can differentiate between plasmid-mediated and chromosomal AmpC β-lactamase resistance.

Streck ARM-D Kits are for Research Use Only (RUO) and are not for use in diagnostic procedures.

The ARM-D Kit, ampC detects over 200 allelic variants across six clinically relevant gene families: CMY02, DHA, ACC, EBC, FOX and MOX.

The ARM-D Kit, ampC is compatible with most 4-channel real-time PCR thermal cyclers. This broad compatibility allows laboratories to use their existing instrumentation without requiring specialized equipment purchases.

The ARM-D Kit, ampC includes positive controls for each gene target and a premixed 2X master mix containing DNA Polymerase, dNTPs, MgCl2 and reaction buffer. This ready-to-use format simplifies workflow and reduces the potential for setup errors.

The ARM-D Kit, ampC offers reduced cost per sample compared to cartridge-based methods while detecting gene variants not covered by many cartridge-based kits. The kit also provides a high degree of sensitivity and specificity, ensuring reliable and accurate results for antibiotic resistance surveillance and stewardship programs.
