Omaha, NE Streck is showcasing two sample stabilization products at the American Association for Cancer Research (AACR) Annual Meeting in New Orleans, April 17-20, 2016. See Streck at booth #1558.
Cell-Free DNA BCT® is a 10 ml blood collection tube with a formaldehyde-free preservative that stabilizes nucleated blood cells. The unique stabilization prevents the release of genomic DNA, allowing isolation of high-quality cell-free DNA for a wide range of downstream applications commonly used in clinical research studies, drug discovery and diagnostic assay development. Streck Cell-Free DNA BCT improves study logistics with convenient sample collection, transport and storage options. Samples collected in the Streck tubes maintain cell-free DNA stability for up to 14 days and circulating tumor cells are stable for up to 4 days at room temperature.
Cell-Free DNA Urine Preserve is a formaldehyde-free liquid reagent that stabilizes cell-free DNA in urine for use in prenatal diagnosis, disease diagnosis and treatment efficacy monitoring, and organ transplant rejection monitoring. The reagent stabilizes all cellular components including red blood cells, white blood cells, and proteins present at the time of collection. Samples treated with Cell-Free DNA Urine Preserve are stable up to 7 days at 6 °C to 37 °C. The reagent allows for standard urinalysis testing and cell-free DNA extraction for downstream testing to be done within existing laboratory workflows without compromising sample integrity.
This meeting highlights the latest, most exciting discoveries in every area of cancer research and provides a unique opportunity for investigators from all over the world to meet, interact, and share their insights. Last year, this meeting had a total attendance of 19,300 with 435 vendors and 6,000 posters. Find more information at www.aacr.org.
