Dr. Chris Connelly, manager of the Molecular Technology Division at Streck, will introduce the companys new, modular 20-minute real-time PCR instrument at the American Society of Human Genetics Annual Meeting in Baltimore, MD USA. The Philisa® Real-Time PCR System simplifies and expedites PCR-based applications in laboratory workflows. Dr. Connellys research explores rapid PCR-based approaches to develop molecular diagnostic tests for clinical and research laboratories.
Streck will also be introducing Cell-Free DNA Urine Preserve, a formaldehyde-free liquid reagent that stabilizes cell-free DNA (cfDNA) in urine. Samples treated with Cell-Free DNA Urine Preserve are stable up to 7 days at 6 °C to 37 °C, ensuring sample integrity for cfDNA extraction and testing. The reagent stabilizes all cellular components including red blood cells, white blood cells, and proteins present at the time of collection, allowing for additional downstream urinalysis testing.
Visit Streck at booth #2208 at ASHG, October 6-10, 2015.
