Omaha, Neb. – Dr. Nancy D. Hanson, Creighton University, and Dr. Chris Connelly, Streck, will present their research on new real-time PCR products at ICAAC/ICC 2015 in San Diego, CA.

The presentation focuses on the increased lab flexibility provided with a new, modular 20-minute real-time PCR instrument as well as research on PCR assays for the detection of antibiotic resistant bacteria. The presentation will be at 1 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 18, at the conference’s product theater booth #222 at San Diego Convention Center. Visit Streck at booth #927 at the conference, Sept. 18-20.

Dr. Hanson is professor and director of the Center for Research in Anti-Infectives and Biotechnology in the department of medical microbiology and immunology at Creighton University in Omaha. Her area of expertise involves the study of molecular mechanisms of antibiotic resistance in Gram-negative organisms and her research explores many aspects of antibiotic resistance mechanisms.

Dr. Connelly is manager of the Molecular Technology Division at Streck. His current research explores rapid PCR-based approaches to develop molecular diagnostic tests for clinical and research laboratories.
