Omaha, NE Streck announced the appointment of Christopher Contonis to the position of Vice President of Sales and Marketing. In this role, Contonis will work with President and CEO Connie Ryan to drive the efficiency, profitability and growth of the Omaha-based medical device developer and manufacturer. His responsibilities include sales, marketing, communication and customer service for the full Streck product line.
The addition of Chris to the Streck Executive Committee brings expanded market knowledge and leadership skills to our company. Chris will assist in growing sales and developing our sales and marketing teams, said Connie Ryan, Streck President and CEO.
Contonis was most recently Director, North American Sales, at IntegenX, Pleasanton, CA, pioneering market development and the commercialization of sample-to-answer DNA-based systems for human identity testing. Before joining IntegenX, Contonis served as Director National Sales at Certify Data Systems, now Transcend Insights (a Humana Company), Campbell, CA, with oversight of sales operations for proprietary Health Information Exchange (HIE) and data analytics solutions. Previously, Contonis was a Senior Director of National Sales at Focus Diagnostics, Inc. (a Quest Diagnostics Company), Cypress, CA. His other positions there included Director of Global Market Development-Molecular Systems, West Regional Sales Director and District Manager-Hospital Sales Division.

Contonis received his bachelor of science degree in nursing from the University of Nebraska Medical School College of Nursing, Lincoln, and a bachelor of science in biology from UNL. He completed post-graduate studies in pathogenic microbiology, comparative physiology, endocrinology, biopsychology, behavior psychology, human anatomy and pharmacology.
