Streck has received a Gold WELCOA national Well Workplace designation, which is a rigorous process that examines workplace wellness efforts.
The Gold level of designation is given to companies that have successfully built comprehensive work site wellness initiatives and are demonstrating and documenting
concrete outcomes.
"We are honored to receive this designation as a Gold Well Workplace from the Wellness Councils of America," said Connie Ryan, President of Streck, Inc.
"Corporate wellness programs offer employees the opportunity to focus on healthy habits for themselves and for their families. This is a benefit we believe makes a critical difference to the overall health of our workforce
and
our community.
“We will continue to work toward the Platinum designation, which will rank Streck among the healthiest places in the country to work.”
The awards are based on seven benchmarks: capturing CEO support, creating cohesive wellness teams, collecting data to drive health efforts, crafting an operating plan, choosing appropriate interventions, creating a supportive environment and consistently evaluating outcomes. Streck earned 175.70 points out of a possible 180.
WELCOA is one of the most respected resources for workplace wellness in America. Headquartered in Omaha, WELCOA is dedicated to improving the health and well-being of all working Americans.
Streck also was recently honored with the Governor’s Workplace Wellness Award. Businesses receiving this award have work site wellness programs that have resulted in measurable health behavior change.
The Life Steps wellness program attained the Grower level of designation, which recognized the wellness committee’s events including health screenings, lunch-and-learns, walking programs and weight loss programs.
