Dr. Wayne Ryan
Dr. Ryan founded Streck in 1971 following 15 years as a researcher and professor of microbiology at Creighton University and a biochemistry and research associate professor of obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. Dr. Ryan developed the industry’s first hematology quality control products, and Streck is recognized worldwide as an innovator of cell stabilization techniques and control products.
President and CEO
Connie Ryan was appointed CEO in 2013. She has served as President since 1992. Her tenure at Streck began in 1982; she held positions in Technical Service, Product Management and Sales Management. Previously, Ryan was a Staff Medical Technologist at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. She earned a bachelor’s degree in medical technology from the University of Nebraska Medical Center and has completed the Harvard School of Business Owner/President Management Program. Ryan is on the board of directors for Creighton University, the Omaha Community Foundation, and NUtech Ventures; she is a member of the Strategic Command Consultation Committee and the Chief Executives Organization.
Director of Sales
Jodi Gnader was named Director of Sales for Streck label sales worldwide in 2014 and is responsible for sales operations and customer service. Gnader joined Streck in 1989 as a Customer Service Specialist. She was promoted to various roles in domestic, international and corporate account customer service and sales. She was named Sales Manager in 1997 with responsibilities for customer relationships and expanding distribution channels. She studied communications and journalism at the University of Nebraska at Omaha.
Director of Marketing
Lea Herzog joined Streck in 2003 and served as a Distributor Account Manager and Product Manager before being named Marketing Manager in 2006 and Director of Marketing in 2014. Her industry experience includes sales representative positions with Merck and Merck Ag/Vet. Herzog has a bachelor’s degree in biology from Ursinus College and is a member of the Diagnostic Marketing Association.
Director of Research & Development
Brad Hunsley joined Streck in 1989 as a Platelet Technician; he was promoted to various supervisor and leadership positions within the Research and Development Department and now serves as Director. Hunsley earned a bachelor’s degree in biology from Midland College and he is a member of the American Association for Clinical Chemistry.
Chief Financial and Administrative Officer
Mike Morgan joined Streck in 2011 as Chief Financial Officer. Previously, he served as Chief Financial Officer at DRM, Inc., Vice President of Finance at First Data, and as an accountant with Seim Johnson. Morgan earned a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and earned his CPA license in 1991.
Director of Operations
John Noble joined Streck in 2001 as Production Manager. He was promoted to Director of Manufacturing in 2003 and to Director of Operations in 2013. Prior to Streck, Noble was production manager with Intervet. He earned a bachelor’s degree in biology from Kearney State.
Rob Owen joined Streck as Assistant to the President in 2010 and assumed his current duties as Counsel in 2011. Previously, he was Counsel for the US Department of Labor and the US Senate. Owen earned a bachelor’s degree in economics and a J.D. from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Owen serves as Chairman of the Board of Directors for Bio Nebraska and is a member of the Nebraska State Bar Association.
Director of Human Resources
Joey Patterson joined Streck in 2014. Her experience includes Human Resources executive positions with National Research Corporation, NMC Inc., and infoUSA. She received her bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Human Resources from the University of Nebraska at Kearney and holds a PHR (Professional in Human Resources) Certification. Patterson serves on the Board of Directors for Nebraska DECA.
Director of Quality
Wendy Royalty joined Streck in 2012 as Quality Director. Her industry experience includes serving as Senior Director of Biological Indicator Operations and Quality & Regulatory Affairs for Mesa Laboratories, and as Quality Assurance/Regulatory Affairs Manager and Lab Manager for Raven Biological Laboratories, which would later become a division of Mesa Labs. Prior to that, Royalty was a Reproductive Physiology/Genetics Research Assistant at Omaha’s Henry Doorly Zoo. She earned a bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of Nebraska - Omaha.
